What makes STEEL-IT so unique?

STEEL-IT brand products are a range of high performance coatings chemically engineered to deliver exceptional results and protect metals from corrosion and abrasion.
All STEEL-IT brand products are made from customised, microscopic 316L stainless steel flakes. When the coating is applied, the flakes align horizontally and compact. They form a barrier layer that is almost completely impermeable to moisture and other corrosive materials. The stainless-steel coating can withstand the most demanding conditions without scratching or flaking. They offer exceptional durability and excellent resistance to corrosion, abrasion, moisture, salt spray and aggressive chemicals.
The coatings are easy to apply and form a very hard and non-toxic protective layer. STEEL IT has proven to be a cost-effective solution for long-term and efficient protection.

Where can STEEL-IT be used?

STEEL-IT systems are used where metal rusts. They are non-toxic and comply with USDA guidelines. This makes them suitable for the food and packaging industry for incidental food contact. The coatings offer superior protection in demanding industrial environments as well as in marine environments (on-shore and off-shore). STEEL-IT has found numerous applications in factories, workshops and almost everywhere where production takes place: CNC machines, welding stations, trolleys, cabinets and shelving.

Industries that successfully use STEEL IT coatings

Which products are available?
The STEEL-IT range comprises three product groups:

Epoxy-System

Corresponds to corrosion protection class C4-high / C5-medium (DIN EN ISO 12944). It is equally suitable for the food industry and for industry in general, as well as for architecture. The system has a unique resistance to abrasion and chemicals.

Polyurethane-System

Suitable for all exterior applications due to its UV resistance. The direct weldability of the topcoat makes this product group particularly popular in motorsport. Can also be used in industry and the food industry.

High temperature paint

Withstands constant temperatures of 537°C, with peaks up to approx. 649°C. The product is used wherever conventional coatings reach their thermal limits. Typical applications are in motorsport (exhaust system) and in industry.
